Prevention Services
Program Description
The focus of the Family and Community Services
Program is to keep families together safely through prevention and
aftercare services. Intensive short term in-home crisis intervention
services are provided to families who are working with Edgewood
which include case management, individual and family therapy, teaching
budgeting, communication, parenting, and conflict resolution skills.
Many of the children served through this program are emotionally
disturbed, or have needs that can be met through the short-term
crisis intervention services. Edgewood therapists work with families
to help them identify problems and goals and to teach them to get
along with each other.
