Youth Opportunity Program Tax Credits

A 50 percent tax credit is available for individuals, businesses, and corporations who have Missouri income tax liability and make a gift of $1,000 or more to Edgewood Children’s Center to support counseling and education services for children with severe emotional, behavioral, and communication disorders.

Youth Opportunity Program tax credits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Upon receipt of your cash or stock gift, Edgewood will provide an easy one-page application for you to complete along with instructions. We will forward your application to Missouri Department of Economic Development and a tax credit certificate will be mailed to you in 4-6 weeks. The application for tax credits must be completed and submitted within the first 12 months after the gift is made, but once awarded, you may use your tax credits anytime within five years of your donation.
