Edgewood Celebrates 175 Years
This year, Edgewood Children’s Center celebrates 175 years of history and service to the St. Louis community. From Edgewood’s humble beginnings as an orphanage in 1834, the common thread through our history has been keeping kids at the heart of everything we do.
Edgewood has evolved over the years, responding to changes in society and to the needs of children and families. In fact, the ability to adapt to the most pressing needs of children is why Edgewood survives, and indeed thrives, 175 years after its founding. Today, Edgewood provides specialized therapeutic, educational, and community-based services to more than 300 children and families daily throughout the St. Louis metropolitan area.
We hope you will help us make a difference in the lives of these children and join us in celebrating 175 years of keeping kids at the heart of everything we do.
